Our Bath Time Favorites

When our daughter was born we were not able to give her a traditional bath for several months. For the first couple of months every other night we would give her a sponge bath over the sink. Mostly because she had a cast on one of her legs and it was easier to wash her body avoiding the cast then wrap her up to wash her hair. All over the kitchen sink.

Now, when she finally got her cast off we were able to give her a bath in her baby tub. And of course we made this into a huge bath party. My husband and I went out and bought her a new towel (we didn't have the hooded towels at that point) and a few bath toys.

After everything our little girl ABSOLUTELY loves bath time now and at times we can't even get her out of the tub without a little fuss.

So, with that here are our favorite bath items:

Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash - 28 oz. Munchkin - Squirtin' Lake Buddies, 10-PackThe First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Tub - Pink Circo® Newborn Girls' Stripes and Hearts Hooded Towel - Pink Circo® Newborn Girls' 3 Pack Wash Cloth and Owl Scrubbie - Pink  Circo® Newborn Girls' 6 Pack Assorted Washcloth Set

We also use the little brush that was given to us from the hospital when we wash her hair and an old cup to rinse her off. We've been looking into a faucet cover since she's become such a mover and always wants to try and stand when we're washing her. I just haven't decided on whether or not I'd like the Munchkin Elephant Spout or the Puj Elephant Spout

What are your bath time favorites?

Baby E's 5 Month Favorites

I cannot believe Baby E is 6 month's old, time has seriously flown by! Baby E has seriously grown into something else. Watching her everyday playing with her toys and exploring everything around her has truly been amazing. She's really started getting into the majority of her toys that we gave her around Christmas and some that were given to us at the baby shower.

Looking back here are her favorite toys over the past month.

These are several of her favorite toys as of right now. There are quite a few more. The majority of them she's had for awhile, but is just now getting into them. So if you do see some that have spilled from a month before it's because she's growing into them.

Does your little one have a favorite toy at this age?

One Of My Favorite Card Services

~*~
Let me just start off with the fact that I am not endorsed of affiliated with this company in any way, shape, or form. I'm just a real person sharing something that I've found to work for us since we live so far away from many of our friends and family plus the stores.
~*~

Awhile ago while I was searching through the app section on my iPhone I found this pretty cool app for sending free cards. I decided, hey why not let's try it. If I don't like it I can just delete it. So, I downloaded it and have loved it ever since.

You're probably like, "okay, you've explained the app.. so, what's the name?" The app is called Red Stamp. By the way it is free, but there are also several ones on there that you may have to pay for.

You're greeted by a friendly message as soon as you open the app.

You're then able to choose what themed card you would like to send. Are you sending a card regarding a birthday, an upcoming holiday, just for fun, or just to say hello!?

I decided to think about sending a card for the upcoming Earth Day. So, I clicked on holidays and searched through the Earth Day cards.

I then chose this Earth Day card:

Next, all I have to do is type in my message and send it out to anyone. Now, I have a choice of sending it via e-mail, twitter, Facebook, as a text message, or I can save it to my camera roll. You can also send it via snail mail, however YOU DO HAVE TO PAY. So, it's up to you.

You can even keep track of your account, any drafts for future cards, what you've sent, your favorites, and any events that might be coming up (syncs with Facebook).

I honestly love it. It's so much easier than paying for an on-line card service or having to go out to the store to pay for a card. It's even cheaper than mailing one out!! Now, I still do pick up a card every now and then; but, that's mostly if I'm out and about considering we live over 30 minutes away from the nearest store.

If you can, just try it out. You never know, you make like it.

Code For A Free Nursing Pillow

Here's a free code where you can get a free nursing pillow, the only thing you have to do is just pay shipping. To do this just use code "FAMILY2013" at checkout.

I added the Clementine nursing pillow to my cart then applied the code to my order. It completely took off $40.00 from the retail price of $39.95 and gave me .05 towards my shipping and handling. Which brought the total out to $12.90. A pretty good steal considering the price of nursing pillows.

I also noticed that if you added the minky one to your order you would just have to pay $5.00 more. It was the same deal. The code took off $40.00 from my order which made the nursing pillow $4.95 plus the shipping and handling which came out to $17.90. Still not bad for a nursing pillow.

~*~

Below are the breakdowns of each of my orders...

Here's the regular nursing pillow that I chose:

Then here's the one with the minky fabric:

Baby E's 3rd and 4th Month Favorites

Here are a few of Baby E's favorite items from her 3rd and 4th months. At that point in time it was really hard to have her play with a lot of items since she was honestly having more fun with her fingers and her shoes/bar. Those were her favorite items at this point, but she did enjoy the items below.

Our Bed Time Favorites

Baby E has had a pretty good bed time routine since she was about a month old. The girl LOVES to sleep... she's her daddy to a "T". Within her routine we have several items that we use to comfort her at night especially with her shoes.

At night, we usually give Baby E a bath prior to her bottle and bed. Then after her bath we usually will place a little lotion on her skin... it's so dry in our house and we want to make it absolutely comfortable for her. Hey, who likes having dry skin... I know we don't. Then we place her in her sleep and play and her shoes and it's off to a bottle before bed.

When we're done with her bottle we usually will check her and change her. Giving her lot's of kisses for night time. In her crib is her sleeper which she mostly sleeps in to ensure she's warm but also to ensure that she doesn't hit her self with her shoes ~ she's tried before.

We then turn on everything else. Her elephant humidifier gets turned on, as well as her musical seahorse and light up bear. She absolutely loves each of them and is mesmerized by the seahorse. Thank goodness for Christmas presents!

Her favorite things are listed below:

Fisher Price Soothe & Glow Seahorse - Pink    Pillow Pets Dream Lites - Bear    Crane Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier - Elephant
Johnson's Baby Lotion Original - 9 oz. JUST ONE YOU Made by Carters ® Newborn Girls' Flower Sleepbag - White/Pink Just One You™ by Carter's® Newborn Girls' Sleep N' Play - White/Green

Johnson's Baby Lotion, Just One You Sleep Sack, Just One You Sleep & Play

She truly enjoys each of these and they have truly become lifesavers at night. We'll even take the the seahorse and the light up bear with us wherever we go when we know we'll be out late.

Do your little ones have any bedtime favorites? Share them we'd LOVE to know!

Baby E's 1st and 2nd Month Favorites

Baby E's first few months of life were pretty hard. She had surgery at just a month old and several weekly doctors appointments along with everything in between. Unfortunately, a lot of days she wasn't always up to fully playing but she surely did enjoy the items below.

Looking back these were quite a few of her favorite items during those rough days.

From Envelopes to Binder to Simple Organizer

My husband and I started couponing several years ago when we moved into our first apartment. It mostly came about from when he was a part of a group that was all of a sudden laid off. So, with one measly income that at times barely covered our rent we decided to try something that could help us save money.

When we first started we just used envelopes. We were completely unorganized. Although at that point it was just a small amount and whatever we could print off the computer, it was somewhat okay. However, as our needs grew the envelope became overly frustrating and made us feel continuously disorganized.

As we started learning more about couponing we moved onto a binder system. For most this works, but for us it just wasn't working. I felt that it was to much work trying to keep up with everything and then sometimes the coupons didn't fit so you had to cut down, etc. When we switched over to this system we seemed to kind of move away from couponing. I guess it was because we were both tired of trying to keep up with the maintenance of putting them in and taking them out.

Since we bought our house we've moved back into couponing. We're not doing it as much as when we first moved out but we're getting there. However, we were given an easier/simpler solution to organizing our coupons. One of my Christmas presents included a coupon organizer and it has probably been one of the most simple organizers I've ever used.

From Glow Girl

This organizer has literally made it a lot easier to just grab the coupons and go. We just cut them out of the weekly inserts or the internet, place them into their corresponding tab and we're off.

Do you have any tips or favorite ways to keep your coupons organized? Please share! We'd love to know since everyone is so different and every little tip helps :)
